Dargai Launch and other stuff
Helloooo Autumn 🍂
After a mad summer, I'm looking forward to some nice gigs and teaching coming up. I finished my Marketing Assistant summer job at The National Piping Centre last week, which was an absolutely brilliant experience. I learned a lot about marketing and event planning through Piping Live! festival, made lots of new friends, and lots of memories too (aww). With this finished, I'm now looking forward to the rest of what 2022 has to offer.
I've got a few weeks before I start back at university in Glasgow to start my second semester of my Masters, and naturally, this 'time off' is being filled with lots of exciting things. I've got a few weddings ceremonies and receptions to play at, providing some music at the Fjällräven Classic UK (https://classic.fjallraven.com/uk/), some Live Music Now Scotland gigs and of course, the launch of Dargai. I've also been studying hard for going back to uni with a 3-day internship with Girls in Marketing. If anyone out there wants their marketing done for them, you know where I am 😉 Proof below hehe 👇

Now onto the main point of this blog post - Braemar Folk Festival is in its second year, and with a lineup of fantastic musicians, I'm very lucky to be launching Dargai during the festival. It'll be nearly a year since the recording, and the gig will feature music from the EP as well as some new arrangements from myself, Eddie Seaman, Lewis McLaughlin and Ciar Milne. The launch is at 1pm, Saturday 1st October in St. Margaret's Braemar. 🥰 I'm very excited for you to hear the music, tickets are available from www.braemarfolkfestival.com. Make sure to check out the other gigs and sessions too 🎶
Dargai is available on all the usual streaming services, and physical copies can be bought at the gig, or ordered now from my website, which you are conveniently on right now!!
Now that I've got some more time, I'll be sure to update you all with my brain dumps more often - bye for now 👋
